(or I cannot find it).Lr import app crashes when I try to use it, was told that will be fixed by next release. But I have other videos taken by 1J1 that didn't get keyword transfer to iMatch. ![]() Does not seem to be able to read video keywords from Lr - I don't know why but only ONE video got the keyword attached from Lr, its taken by Nikon 1J1.One-man software and what if that person retire/sick/the worse case pass away, the end of the software?.Can handle a lot of different file types.Use the IMatch Metadata Analyst (in the App Manager Panel) to check your video files and metadata for problems. If you have organized your photos in another application like Lightroom, MediaPro or IMatch, you can enter the database so that you dont lose the job that has. By default Lr keeps all metadata inside the catalog, inaccessible for other software. Good reputation, many people talking about it and they all seems to like it a lot, so must be something good about this software Make sure Lr has actually written the keywords to the file or XMP sidecar file.Whilst it might seem easy at first to create new folders in ‘My Documents. These assets could be documents, photos or videos (amongst many other file types). I am going to post the 3 software that I think I want to use but all with their quirks and I will post how I feel about them and their pros and cons from my own view, may be there is a work around or I am not noticing certain benefit, please tell me! Digital Asset Management ( DAM) can be defined as highly efficient software that organises and process files whilst advocating collaboration and file sharing of your digital assets. And I put some thoughts into it and try out different things but I am not getting back to the "Adobe Family" for various reasons including their "Bridge". A lot people answer the same thing - we changes the RAW process every now and then but we would like to keep the DAM the same software, so its nice to separate both. So, what am I looking for? I am looking for a DAM that read all the keywords from Lr, not just from photos, possibly with some video files too. But since not all google answers are up to date for the versions I am comparing now, I am asking here and see if I can get some answers that are more up to date. Got a lot of good suggestions, so I look around, try out a few software, google searching answers. I am hoping to reduce the tools in the workflow.Couple weeks ago, I posted here about Lr alternative. It looks interesting but it will be one more tool in the workflow. Inexpensive and on sale for the next few days, Should be in every photographer's tool kit ![]() You can rate photos in this app and your DAM should pick these up. It's the best tool for evaluating image quality as it is one of the few tools that allow you to view the raw histogram. It would be great if I don't have to use yet another tool like Photo Mechanic for that purpose.Ĭan't comment on the DAM but I would cull photos using FastRawViewer. I would like the ability to compare similar shots for the best one to keep and rest to delete. Digital asset management solution that enables professional photographers and editors to ingest images, compare photos, add keywords, create proof sheets, backup data to hard drives, and more. In addition, I would like to be able to cull the pictures as I download them from my camera in the same tool. I would like users of these two tools comment on them to help me with selection. I have spent quite a bit of time on forums and seems like Photo Supreme and iMatch are top two choices. Now I am looking for a DAM that is easy to learn, stable and not too expensive. ![]() IMatch is incredibly powerful, although there is a learning curve. I just bought DXO PL4 and Affinity Photo along with bunch of other software. I use PhotoLab 4 with IMatch (and sometimes Affinity), but Ive never used PhotoSupreme.
